According to the analysis of experts in various industries, the rapid growth of import and export is the traction of the rapid development of this industry, and the upgrading trend of packaging products directly increases the share of wood packaging products in various categories of packaging products; in the future, wood packaging will pay more attention to green and environmental protection, and pay more attention to recycling. Statistics from various associations provide a data basis for the development of wood packaging. Information from the Wood Packaging Association shows that in 2014, my country's total packaging volume 9.72 million and sales 120.2 billion. This includes wood packaging, metal packaging, soft and hard packaging and other packaging products.

Data from industry associations also confirm the rapid growth of imports and exports. In 2013, the total output of China's import and export equipment was 6.22 million sets. In recent years, the annual growth rate of China's machinery industry has been maintained at more than 20%. With the improvement of import and export and the upgrading of the economy, the equipment products that continue to appear and grow rapidly are widely used in wood packaging. In comparison, despite 10 consecutive years of rapid growth, the number of imports and exports of goods requiring wood packaging in China is only equivalent to 1/22 of that of foreign countries, and there is still a strong driving force for growth.

At the same time of rapid development, experts also put forward higher requirements for wood packaging, including stability, economy, convenience, recyclability and so on. In addition, China's wood packaging industry concentration is low, in addition to a few large groups of rapid development, the overall is still relatively scattered, small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for a large proportion. Therefore, experts suggest that the wood packaging industry should strengthen exchanges and cooperation with terminal manufacturing enterprises, strengthen coordination and integration between enterprises in the industry, in order to further serve the needs of enterprises.
